The Endless Hall The Dream:
Dave,
In this dream i had many years ago has never left me i think of this dream often and just wanted to share.
I found myself going down and endless narrow indoor hallway on each sides were glass rooms that went on forever kind of like a shopping mall ...each room was filled with 'cool stuff' like precious belongings material of ones life time ..artefacts.
All rooms were different behind glass,some rooms had war memorabilia,other rooms had Hollywood stuff like a museum i kept moving down this hallway i looked to my right and there was my glass room as each room had a glass door i never tried to open but i was amazed to see stuff of mine decorated that i haven’t seen in years my stereo and records from when i was a teen, rock posters. My guitars, amps drums and gear. Everything! and all i could think is what the?
In amazement i kept strolling down the hallway i came to another glass room on the right....this room had Who posters, records and a pinball machine plugged in and lit up all kinds of really cool stuff i stepped closer to the glass to peek inside....and out of nowhere in front of me appeared a young looking Keith Moon. staring me right in the eyes. and that was it...looking back it was a really cool dream...but i have really never understood a meaning if any.

The Interpretation

Dreams like this are usually representative of the subconscious taking visits to your past. Perhaps not just a literal bout of nostalgia but even of past desires and ambitions that may have never quite come to fruition.
It is possible that you're at a point in your life where the past has become one of two extremes, either an idealised view of it, or on the other hand a source of frustration. By your reaction it would seem the latter interpretation might be the more accurate of the two.
The "really cool stuff" you mention could be symbolic of your past achievements either as a music yourself or as a fan or collector of someone else' works? Perhaps a fond memory of a concert or the first time you heard a particular record?
You don't mention how you personally feel about Keith Moon, but often celebrities can embody either qualities we wish we had, or could also be a warning of possessing some similar traits that we should be mindful of.
There's nothing wrong with fond remembrances of the past or focusing on a happier time as long as we are also moving forward and growing towards the future.
